This Mother’s Day, Fat Ox is hosting an Italian-style brunch, featuring house-made banana bread with amaro butter, Spicy Sugo Pork Benedict, and more.

One year ago, the typical Mother's Day dining celebration was disrupted. 

With Scottsdale restaurants' dining rooms closed due to COVID-19, residents were limited to ordering special meals for Mom to-go 

But this year, the options are seemingly endless — and include both dine-in brunches and dinners, and equally as delicious to-go deals.

For those in search of a decadent brunch where they can not only indulge in sweet and savory entrees but also bottomless champagne, restaurants such as Maple & Ash, T. Cook's, Fat Ox and more are offering just that this Mother's Day. 

At Maple & Ash, the steakhouse boasts the three major B's this Mother’s Day: brunch for $90 per person, bouquets at $60 each, and bottomless food and drink for $140 per person.

Fat Ox, on the other end, is hosting a big, Italian-style brunch, where the menu features everything from house-made Banana Bread with Amaro butter to Spicy Sugo Pork Benedict — for $85 per person.

Inviting Mom to dinner instead? Treat her to a very Mediterranean and French-inspired meal at newcomer Francine.

Here, dinner starts as early as 5 p.m.; and the menu includes classics, like the L’agneau, a delicately prepared rack of lamb accompanied by freshly made gnocchi, cauliflower and pine nut pesto.

"We are so excited to participate in the celebration of mothers everywhere,” said Brian Archibald, Executive Chef of Francine, which opened at Scottsdale Fashion Square in August. 

"From the new patio to the unmatched ambiance of our indoor dining, Francine is the perfect place to celebrate special moms. It is an honor to be able to commemorate moms everywhere with a French flair," Archibald added.

Other restaurants hosting special Mother's Day dinners include Roaring Fork, The Capital Grille, STK Steakhouse, and P.F. Chang's, which offers a special four-course, prix-fixe menu on Mother's Day, Father's Day and for graduation celebrations.

"At P.F. Chang’s, we believe there’s much cause for celebration over the coming weeks, whether it's honoring important family members or hard-working scholars," said Tana Davila, chief marketing officer for P.F. Chang's. 

P.F. Chang's to-go bundle meals feed groups of four, six, eight, and 10, and can be ordered online.

"We’re always a place to celebrate life’s milestones – both big and small – but Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Graduation give us a chance to add some special touches for these exciting celebrations. We're eager to provide some 'surprise and delight' for guests, whether they're enjoying P.F. Chang's at our table or their own," Davila said.
